See what people are saying about the Executive Retreat

Leadership OD Executive Retreat was an exceptional experience! I attended the 2 day retreat with my office managers and we all agree it was well worth the investment and time away from the practice. Having the small group of 10 allowed us to be completely comfortable with one another and share our best practices, along with our weaknesses. Mike is truly a great leader. Through his experience in private practice, he is able to share numerous ideas on how to improve office flow, customer service, scheduling, office meetings, and financials. I am excited to implement the many solutions that were presented during the retreat. I am definitely a better CEO and leader for my practice after attending the Executive Retreat with Leadership OD.

“This is my fourth time attending the LOD Executive Retreat. My favorite thing about this event is that I always leave with a clear plan for my practice. It’s such a great opportunity for growth and development. There is truly nothing else like it in optometry.”

Mick Kling, O.D. - San Diego, CA

“Mike can really make the uncomfortable seem comfortable. The Leadership OD Executive Retreat gives you such an opportunity to share in a way that you’ve likely never had before.”

David Lupinski, OD - Ballentyne, NC

"A weekend with Leadership OD is chance to step away from the daily grind and focus on the ever-present question, "How can we make our practice better?". If you are looking to reconnect with your staff and associates, regroup, and grow your team- this retreat is for you! We went in with a list of questions and concerns and came away with answers and a game plan. That is a great feeling! I would recommend this retreat to anyone who wants to take their leadership to the next level. "

Lindsey Caudle Class of 2021 - Southern College of Optometry

This was my absolute favorite retreat to date. It was personable and fun, but also informative and realistic. The small group made it possible to really get to know each other and have a chance to delve in to practice details. I left with three actionable goals, one of which is already in place. It was an amazing experience and would love to attend the next Executive Retreat!”

“A unique and intimate opportunity to reflectively examine all aspects of your optometric practice resulting in a refractive plan of action! Mike is a master at challenging your thinking and leading inspiring conversation.”

Mark Kapperman, O.D. Chattanooga, TN

“I just left the LOD retreat and feel I’m on the verge of making some real breakthroughs in my practice. I’ve been feeling stagnate and been frustrated with some of the obstacles I’ve been dealing with, and this provided the perfect environment to work through some of those challenges.”

Ted McElroy, OD - Tifton, GA

“In the day to day operations of an optometric practice, it is so easy to lose focus on what it is you are really trying to accomplish. One thing we like to think that we all know how to do, is patient care...but what about the rest?

I was really expecting lectures on how to improve the day to day operations of our practice. What we received from the Executive Retreat is what some management consulting companies like to call "Exchange in Abundance". Leadership OD is a time to stop, reflect on the good you are doing, find what you can improve, refocus and set the stage for what is next. A lot of times we leave the "lectures" with wonderful ideas, but we don't seem to leave with the follow through tools to make it happen. This Executive Retreat not only lets you bounce ideas off other practices in like situations but sets you up for success in implementing all that you have learned.”
